Unsere Cloud Platform bildet die Grundlage vieler unserer Kundenprojekte. Wir haben bereits Templates, Automationen und Best Practices rund um AWS, GitHub, GitLab, Pulumi und weitere Tools aufgebaut.
Als Staff Cloud Platform Engineer übernimmst du eine zentrale technische Rolle in unseren Projekten und arbeitest eng mit Tech Leads und Cloud Platform Engineers an skalierbaren Plattformlösungen auf Basis von AWS, z. B. mit Managed Kubernetes oder Serverless. Du hilfst dabei, Cloud-Plattformlösungen zu entwerfen, weiterzuentwickeln und zuverlässig zu betreiben, damit unsere Teams produktiv mit der Plattform arbeiten können.
Dabei verbindest du Architekturarbeit mit Hands-on Engineering: Du bringst deine Erfahrung früh in Angebotsphasen und Architekturentscheidungen ein, entwickelst gemeinsam mit anderen Engineers wiederverwendbare Plattformlösungen und unterstützt Teams beim Aufbau von Infrastruktur mit Pulumi (TypeScript) oder Terraform, bei CI/CD mit GitHub oder GitLab sowie bei operativen Themen wie Monitoring mit Elastic Cloud, Prometheus und Grafana.
Du unterstützt Development Teams dabei, effektiv mit der Plattform zu arbeiten, hilfst bei der Analyse und Nachbereitung von Incidents und teilst dein Wissen im Team, um Engineers bei technischen Entscheidungen zu unterstützen und unsere Engineering-Standards weiterzuentwickeln.

Das bringst Du mit!

Du hast langjährige Erfahrung (typischerweise mehrere Jahre in verantwortungsvollen Rollen) in der Entwicklung und im Betrieb produktiver Software- und Cloud-Systeme.
Du hast Erfahrung mit Cloud-Architekturen und moderner Infrastruktur, insbesondere im Umfeld von AWS.
Du arbeitest mit einem DevOps-Mindset und bist es gewohnt, Infrastruktur und Betrieb gemeinsam mit Entwicklungsteams zu gestalten.
Du hast Erfahrung in der technischen Führung von Engineers, z. B. durch Mentoring, Architekturarbeit oder technische Entscheidungsfindung.
Du kannst klar und zielgruppengerecht mit Kunden, Tech Leads und Engineering-Teams kommunizieren.
Du gehst technische Probleme strukturiert und analytisch an und sorgst für Transparenz bei komplexen Themen.
Du hast ein gutes Verständnis für Security- und Compliance-Anforderungen, z. B. im Kontext von ISO 27001 oder ähnlichen Standards.
Du bist bereit, On-Call-Verantwortung im Plattformbetrieb zu übernehmen.
Erfahrung mit Technologien wie AWS, Kubernetes, Serverless, Pulumi oder Terraform, GitHub oder GitLab sowie Elastic, Prometheus oder Grafana ist ein großer Pluspunkt. Weitere Plattformen wie Vercel oder Heroku sind ebenfalls Teil unseres Ökosystems.
Du bist ab September 2026 verfügbar.
Du verfügst über gute Deutschkenntnisse, da unsere Projektkommunikation und viele Kundenumgebungen überwiegend auf Deutsch stattfinden.

Our cloud platform forms the basis for many of our customer projects. We have already developed templates, automations, and best practices for AWS, GitHub, GitLab, Pulumi, and other tools.

As a Staff Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a central technical role in our projects and work closely with tech leads and cloud platform engineers on scalable platform solutions based on AWS, e.g., with Managed Kubernetes or Serverless. You will help design, develop, and reliably operate cloud platform solutions so that our teams can work productively with the platform.

You will combine architectural work with hands-on engineering: you will contribute your experience early on in the bidding phase and architectural decisions, develop reusable platform solutions together with other engineers, and support teams in setting up infrastructure with Pulumi (TypeScript) or Terraform, in CI/CD with GitHub or GitLab, and in operational topics such as monitoring with Elastic Cloud, Prometheus, and Grafana.

You will support development teams in working effectively with the platform, assist in the analysis and follow-up of incidents, and share your knowledge within the team to support engineers in technical decisions and further develop our engineering standards.

These are your competences!

You have many years of experience (typically several years in positions of responsibility) in the development and operation of productive software and cloud systems.
You have experience with cloud architectures and modern infrastructure, especially in the AWS environment.
You work with a DevOps mindset and are used to designing infrastructure and operations together with development teams.
You have experience in the technical leadership of engineers, e.g., through mentoring, architecture work, or technical decision-making.
You can communicate clearly and appropriately with customers, tech leads, and engineering teams.
You approach technical problems in a structured and analytical manner and ensure transparency on complex issues.
You have a good understanding of security and compliance requirements, e.g., in the context of ISO 27001 or similar standards.
You are willing to take on on-call responsibility in platform operations.
Experience with technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Serverless, Pulumi or Terraform, GitHub or GitLab, as well as Elastic, Prometheus or Grafana is a big plus. Other platforms such as Vercel or Heroku are also part of our ecosystem.
You are available from September 2026.
You have a good command of German, as our project communication and many customer environments are predominantly in German.
